About this platform

A knowledge and intelligence layer for the global apparel and textile industry.

What this is

Kubramal is an independent research and reference platform for the apparel and textile industry. It exists to answer the questions people actually have when they are trying to make something, source something, or decide something: what a fabric is, what production costs, where capacity sits, what a term means, how one country compares with another.

The organising idea is simple. The industry's useful knowledge is scattered across supplier websites, trade statistics, conference slides and the memory of people who have been doing this for twenty years. Most of it is not written down anywhere trustworthy, dated, or sourced. This platform writes it down — and states where each claim came from, and when it describes.

What this is not

Being clear about this is more useful than a list of features:

  • Not a clothing brand. Nothing here is for sale as a garment.
  • Not a store. There is no checkout and no product catalogue.
  • Not a news site. Publication is driven by usefulness, not by a calendar.
  • Not a directory of everything. Records publish only where evidence exists.
  • Not a keyword farm. Pages exist because a question needs answering, not because a query exists. A section with nothing in it says so.

The standard

The platform's own test is whether a page would still be worth reading if search engines did not exist. Concretely, that means every published page must:

  • state who it is for and what question it answers;
  • give a direct answer before the explanation;
  • carry a source for every factual claim that matters, or be labelled as an estimate with its method;
  • state its data period where it quotes figures;
  • publish its own limitations;
  • connect to the rest of the knowledge base by genuine relationship, not by link volume;
  • name who is accountable for it.

Where a page cannot yet meet that standard, it is not published. That is why several sections are currently empty, and it is deliberate.

How it is made

Articles are researched and drafted with AI assistance and reviewed, edited and approved by a human editor before publication. Every factual claim carries a source or is labelled as an estimate. Corrections are published, not silently applied.

The full method — how sources are chosen, how claims are classified, how corrections work, and how independence is maintained — is published at editorial methodology.

What comes next

The free knowledge base is the foundation, not the product. The intended progression is from published knowledge, to original data, to deeper research, to a verified network of manufacturers and suppliers, and eventually to sourcing and advisory work for buyers who need a specific problem solved. Each stage depends on the one before it being trusted. That is why this one is being built slowly.

Editorial independence

Nothing published here is paid for. No supplier pays for coverage, ranking, a favourable comparison, or inclusion in a directory record. Where a commercial relationship would create a conflict, it will be disclosed on the affected page rather than in a policy nobody reads.
